I would never forgive her or be friends with her, but I do hope someday she finds peace with herself and makes a good life for her child. As big a b*tch as she is, Darlen is still a human and she still feels and hurts. It's a shame she can't have empathy for me, but that is her loss. She is clearly in a lot of pain and has serious anger and issues around her role as a parent. At least she wants to change.
Markus's birthday was insanity!!! The fight with “Richard Simmons” and Darlen (though I wouldn't really call it a fight, more like a beating) went on for about 20 minutes. Darlen tore the entire city block apart. Every time she stopped she would run back and try to break through the barricade of directors. I love how we see production in this episode trying to hold back her and the rage that alcohol instills in her. That is how crazy Darlen went. It was almost like a play or a gladiator fight or something. The funniest part was that “Richard” kept standing there on the phone pretending to call police with two Hollywood trash-tastic bimbos dressed like Flight Attendants. I kept wondering, "where did he find these people?" The guy was a loser, and normally I don't think violence solves the problem but this tool deserved it. I love how they are making it look like I was constantly complaining about Cordelia's drinking to the hyenas.
